A Little About Me
Education: Lincoln High School, Ellwood City, Pa.
Geneva College, Beaver Falls, Pa. B.S. in Education
Family: I have a wonderful family. My husband is Bob(AuD. in Audiology), I have a son Bobby(doctor-U.P.M.C., Pittsburgh), and two daughters, Kristi(senior-Thomas Cooley Law School) and Brooke(senior business major, Westminster College). I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. I also have a
very cute granddog, Kona. When she visits, I enjoy taking her on walks and playing,
I like photography, to garden, draw, write childrens' stories, shop and travel. I would love to live near the beach. I especially love Hawaii.
Introduction to my ePortfolio
Welcome to my ePortfolio! This course has really enriched my computer skills. I realize how important technology and the Internet are to our students and to our ever changing world. Through the use of technology tools, we can reach across the world and into different cultures. Students can connect with other schools and collaborate on projects. They can create voki's and voicethreads to explain a project. It is an endless source of information.I have included websites and links in my ePortfoilio that will reflect what I have learned and about my Monarch project. I will model good digital citizenship to my students and teach them respect and responsibility for the internet and technology tools. I am glad I took this course and will continue to learn what technology has to offer so that I may enrich my class, and myself.
My goal(s)
In the LOTI I'm a level 2. My goal is to become a level 3 learner. I need to infuse digital tools at a higher level. I need to make more use of my smartboard and the Internet to supplement and improve my curriculum and teaching style. My LOTI results for CIP show that I am at level 1. My goal is to be at level 2. I need to continue as I have in level 1, but use the results of classroom evaluations to guide my instruction.My LOTI results for the PCU were at level 2. My goal is to become a level 3 learner. I would like to improve my curriculum by becoming a regular user of more digital media such as United Streaming and Teacher Tube.My goal is to bring more authentic learning into my classroom and provide many new learning opportunities to my students through technology.
